Hello! I’ve been planning/wanting to build/install a “floating” shelf/ledge around my new kitchen remodel. I picked up some poplar wood which I like, and stains nicely to match most of the wood doors and other accents in the house. My question is, what’s the best joint/buttressing method to accomplish this? Would a simple butt joint be sufficient?...
Under the paint is a thin paper creating the texture shown in the pictures. I can go through and pull each piece off one at a time, but I am hoping there is a more time efficient way to do it.
